You will play a key part in strengthening the organisation’s compliance framework, supporting regulatory engagement, managing operational compliance activities, and advising on emerging risks across financial markets, derivatives, and crypto products.

What You’ll Be Doing
Compliance Operations

• Conduct monitoring and thematic reviews, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
• Manage complex regulatory enquiries and coordinate responses across stakeholders.
• Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance to the business.
• Lead AML/CTF suspicious matter assessment and reporting.
• Review and approve marketing and promotional materials to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Handle escalated client complaints requiring detailed investigation.

Financial Markets & Crypto Focus

• Support compliance oversight of CFDs, derivatives, and crypto-related products.
• Ensure compliance with ASIC, AUSTRAC, and product-specific regulatory requirements.
• Review investment and trading communications for appropriate disclosures.
• Assist with implementation of regulatory changes impacting trading products.

Advisory & Strategic Support

• Provide compliance input into new product development and business initiatives.
• Contribute to senior management reporting, policy development, and training.
• Represent compliance in cross-functional working groups and projects.

What You Bring

• 2+ years’ experience in compliance, risk, or legal roles within financial services.
• Knowledge of financial markets, derivatives, equities, or crypto products.
• Strong understanding of AML/CTF obligations and Australian regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and ability to work autonomously.
• Stakeholder management capability and confidence influencing across the business.
• A continuous learning mindset and desire to lift regulatory and cultural standards.
