Senior Insight Analyst | Melbourne
We're partnering with a well-known Australian business to find a Senior Insight Analyst to join their Customer Analytics team.
  
About the role
This is a hands-on analytics role focused on understanding customer behaviour and turning data into commercial outcomes. You'll work across multiple business units, partnering with stakeholders to frame problems, uncover insights, and deliver recommendations that genuinely influence strategy. 
  
What sets this role apart is that leadership genuinely respects and acts on the work their analytics team produces.
  
Day to day, you'll be working across customer segmentation, lifetime value, retention strategies, and customer journey analysis. You'll also play a key role in facilitating workshops, managing cross-team dependencies, and mentoring junior team members.

What you'll need

• 5+ years' experience in an analytics or insights role, ideally within a retail or consumer-facing business
• Proven experience in customer analytics, segmentation, and lifetime value modelling
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Tableau or Power BI
• The ability to wrangle complex data and present it as a compelling story to non-technical audiences
• Experience managing a broad range of stakeholders at multiple levels of an organisation
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Statistics, or similar - or equivalent experience

Nice to have

• Exposure to Python or other advanced analytics languages
• Experience in a large retail or subscription-based business
• Background in customer research or advanced customer analysis
