Regional Manager | OSHC Brisbane & South East Queensland
Lead around 15 services — with the backing to make a real difference
Catholic Early EdCare is strengthening its regional leadership team, and we’re looking for experienced multi-site leaders to take ownership of OSHC portfolios across Brisbane and South East Queensland.
This is a genuine operational leadership role.
You’ll be visible in your services, close to your Service Leaders, building strong relationships with schools and communities, and helping teams create safe, welcoming and genuinely enjoyable environments for children.
And most importantly, you won’t be expected to fix everything alone.
Leadership with real support around you Catholic Early EdCare has invested heavily in the support surrounding our services and operational leaders.
You’ll work alongside:
- A growing Quality & Practice Excellence team made up of highly experienced sector professionals
- A dedicated Inclusion team supporting children, families and educators
- Experienced operational leaders who understand the realities of running OSHC services
- People & Culture, Employee Relations and Recruitment teams who can step in when specialist support is needed
We’re serious about improving quality across our network — not simply because Assessment & Rating is approaching, but because children deserve consistently excellent care every day.
Your job is to lead the portfolio. You don’t have to be the Quality Advisor, Inclusion specialist, recruiter and ER expert as well.
What you’ll be doing You’ll lead, coach and develop the Service Leaders across a portfolio of approximately 15 services, helping them build capable teams, stronger relationships and sustainable services.
Your role will include:
- Being visible and present across your portfolio
- Coaching Coordinators and Assistant Coordinators and helping them grow as leaders
- Building leadership capability rather than simply solving problems for people
- Supporting service quality, compliance and Assessment & Rating readiness
- Developing trusted relationships with school principals, families and community partners
- Improving team stability, engagement, enrolments, utilisation and overall service performance
- Identifying issues early and working with leaders to find practical solutions
- Supporting safe, inclusive and engaging environments for children
- Balancing quality, people, operational and commercial priorities
- Working closely with Quality, Inclusion and other specialist Support Office teams
This is not a role for someone who wants to manage a portfolio entirely through spreadsheets, emails and Teams meetings.
Strong Regional Managers know what is happening on the ground. They visit services. They listen. They notice what isn’t working. They coach rather than simply direct, and they know when a leader needs space to step up and when they genuinely need support.
The kind of leader we’re looking for You may already be a Regional Manager, Area Manager or senior multi-site leader within OSHC, early education or another children-focused environment.
You’ll bring:
- Strong experience leading multiple services, sites or operational locations
- A sound understanding of child safety, quality and compliance
- Experience improving service performance and quality outcomes
- Confidence coaching experienced leaders and developing emerging ones
- The ability to have honest conversations while maintaining strong relationships
- A calm, practical and supportive leadership style
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with schools and community partners
- Commercial awareness and the ability to understand utilisation, staffing and service sustainability
- The ability to manage travel and competing priorities across a geographically dispersed portfolio
- A genuine belief that accountability, high standards and a positive culture should exist together
You don’t need to pretend to know everything.
We’re looking for someone who asks good questions, follows through, earns trust and creates an environment where Service Leaders feel both supported and accountable.
Why Catholic Early EdCare? We’re a values-driven organisation supporting more than 135 early education, kindergarten and OSHC services across Queensland.
We’re continuing to evolve how we support our services — strengthening leadership capability, investing in Quality and Inclusion, and creating clearer pathways for talented people to build long-term careers with us.
For a Regional Manager, that means having specialist expertise around you rather than simply being asked to carry more.
You’ll also receive:
- Up to 95% discount on early education and OSHC fees
- Competitive salary and excellent benefits
- Vehicle option
- Birthday leave
- Quarterly wellbeing days
- Leadership development and professional support
- Employee Assistance Program
- Recognition initiatives and celebrations
- Genuine opportunities to influence how a large portfolio of services develops
- Career pathways into broader operational and executive leadership
- A team of passionate, capable people who genuinely care about children, families and each other
Ready for a bigger leadership opportunity? You might already be an experienced Regional Manager looking for a values-led organisation where you can make a broader impact.
Or you may be an accomplished Area Manager ready to step up and lead a larger portfolio.
Either way, we’d be very happy to have a confidential conversation before you decide whether to apply - please feel free to call me on 07 3367 6351
Apply now and tell us about the leader you are, the teams you’ve developed and the services you’ve helped improve — not simply how many sites you’ve managed.
