As part of the STH team delivering the Men's Rugby World Cup 2027 Experiences programme, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager (Venues & Events) to join the growing Sydney office.
 
ROLE SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager - Venues & Events, you will play a key role in planning and delivering venue operations across multiple stadiums for the Men's Rugby World Cup 2027 Experiences programme. Key responsibilities include:
 

• Developing and delivering venue operational plans across multiple stadiums.
• Leading venue operations to ensure safe and seamless event delivery.
• Driving premium service standards and exceptional guest experiences.
• Managing venue and supplier partnerships to meet delivery requirements.
• Coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Managing operational budgets and identifying cost efficiencies.
• Ensuring compliance with WHS and risk management requirements.
• Providing onsite leadership and resolving operational challenges.

 
ABOUT YOU:
We are seeking an experienced, solutions-focused venue and event operations professional who thrives in fast-paced environments. You will bring:  

• Venue Operations - Experience delivering large-scale venue or multi-site event operations.
• Delivery - Proven ability to execute operational plans in fast-paced environments.
• Supplier Management - Experience managing suppliers, contracts and delivery requirements.
• Commercial Acumen - Experience managing budgets and operational costs.
• WHS & Risk Management - Strong knowledge of safe and compliant event delivery.
• Problem Solving & Resilience - A solutions-focused approach and ability to perform under pressure.
• Passion for Sport & Major Events - Beneficial but not essential.
