About The Role:
Reporting to the High-Performance Director, you will be responsible for leading and implementing NZR's High Performance Strategy across the men's pathway.
 
This pivotal leadership role oversees the men's high-performance system across New Zealand Rugby, ensuring alignment, innovation and excellence across player, coach, referee and support staff development pathways. The role works closely with the All Blacks, Super Rugby Clubs, Provincial Unions and wider stakeholders to ensure New Zealand continues to produce world-leading teams and performances on the global stage.
 
The role also leads the Men's High-Performance Team and oversees the planning, delivery and performance of a range of national programmes including the All Blacks XV, Māori All Blacks, All Blacks Sevens, NZ U20s and New Zealand Secondary Schools.
 
Areas of responsibility include:

• Operationalise NZR's Men's High-Performance Strategy and pathway delivery.
• Drive world-class player, coach and support staff development.
• Lead national programme planning, operations and performance.
• Build strong relationships across the rugby system and key stakeholders.
• Support high-performing, aligned and wellbeing-focused environments.
• Drive innovation, talent development and continuous improvement.

 
About You:
You are an experienced high-performance leader with a proven ability to lead elite sporting programmes and environments. You bring strong strategic capability, outstanding relationship management skills and credibility within high performance sport. You thrive in complex stakeholder environments and are passionate about developing world-leading people, teams and systems.
 
Key experience and attributes include:

• Proven leadership experience within high performance sport.
• Experience developing and leading elite performance programmes and cultures.
• Strong understanding of athlete and coach development pathways.
• Experience leading teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to operate strategically while also driving operational delivery.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational capability.
• Understanding of world-leading high performance systems and environments.
