Apprentice Carpenter (2nd–4th Year)
Scone / Upper Hunter Immediate start available | Full-time hours | Local work in Scone
Want a trade where no two days are the same and you get real, hands-on experience across the whole build? We’re looking for a 2nd–4th year Apprentice Carpenter to join a residential building crew based in Scone (Upper Hunter).
About the Role
You’ll be working on renovations and extensions of residential homes with loads of variety, from demo through to finishing.
- Start: ASAP
- Location: Scone / Upper Hunter (various local sites)
- Roster: Full-time 38 hours/week
- Typical hours: 7:00am–4:30pm (break approx. 12:30pm–1:00pm)
- Uniform: Provided
About the Host Employer
You’ll be joining a small, growing residential building team in the Upper Hunter. As a new business, they’re focused on doing things properly — quality workmanship, professional standards, and a positive team culture.
This is a hands-on, supportive environment where you’ll work closely with experienced tradespeople, get shown the right way to do things, and gain experience across a wide variety of work (so you’re not stuck doing the same task every day).
Because the team is small and growing, there’s genuine long-term opportunity to step up into more responsibility as you develop your skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Continue progressing toward completing your trade qualification
- Work across: demolition, carpentry, plastering, roofing, tiling, and painting
- Assist qualified tradespeople and learn best-practice methods
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite
- Follow WHS policies and procedures at all times
About You
- Currently a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year carpentry apprentice
- Keen to finish your apprenticeship and build a long-term career
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Enjoys practical work and takes pride in quality workmanship
- Works well as part of a small team in a professional environment
What you’ll need
- Driver’s licence + own vehicle (travel to local sites)
- White Card
- Criminal check and licence history check
Why CCGT?
We do more than place you in a job — we employ you and support you throughout your apprenticeship with mentoring, guidance and ongoing care.
