Role: Integration Validation Engineer
Location: 100% Remote.
Job Description:
The Integration Validation Engineer is responsible for independently validating the engineering assets, synthetic healthcare transaction data, intelligent automation workflows, and automated integration capabilities developed by the Synthetic Data & Automation Engineering Team supporting the Community Care Network Next Generation (CCN NG) program.
Serving as the platform's quality authority, this role verifies that synthetic datasets, automation frameworks, and integration validation capabilities accurately represent real-world healthcare business processes and comply with healthcare interoperability standards.
The Integration Validation Engineer ensures that engineering assets are complete, reliable, repeatable, and suitable for use across software development, integration testing, demonstrations, training, and release readiness activities.
Reporting to the Automation & Synthetic Data Architect, this individual collaborates closely with Healthcare Interoperability Engineers, Senior Synthetic Data Engineers, Automation Intelligence Engineers, and Senior Automation Engineers to independently validate engineering outputs while providing objective assessment of platform quality and operational readiness.
Description Mission:
Establish and maintain confidence in the CCN NG Synthetic Data & Automation Platform by independently validating synthetic healthcare transaction data, intelligent automation capabilities, and automated integration workflows to ensure they are accurate, standards-conformant, repeatable, and suitable for enterprise use.
Job Responsibilities:
Integration Validation
- Develop and execute comprehensive end-to-end integration validation strategies supporting healthcare transaction processing.
- Validate complete healthcare transaction lifecycles across eligibility, claims, payment, authorization, and related interoperability workflows.
- Verify expected business outcomes throughout the full transaction lifecycle using synthetic healthcare transaction data.
- Confirm that automated integration validation accurately reflects production business processes and system behavior.
Engineering Asset Validation - Independently validate synthetic healthcare transaction datasets for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and standards compliance.
- Verify intelligent automation workflows produce reliable, traceable, and repeatable engineering outputs.
- Validate automation frameworks and reusable engineering assets prior to operational adoption.
- Ensure engineering assets meet established quality standards before inclusion within the trusted platform baseline.
Quality Engineering - Design and execute validation scenarios covering positive, negative, boundary, exception, and edge-case conditions.
- Perform exploratory integration testing to identify gaps in automation coverage and engineering assumptions.
- Develop independent validation strategies for newly generated synthetic scenarios and evolving interoperability requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive validation evidence supporting engineering quality and release readiness.
Defect Analysis - Investigate integration failures and validation discrepancies across distributed healthcare systems.
- Perform root cause analysis to distinguish between data issues, business rule inconsistencies, automation defects, and application defects.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve identified issues and continuously improve platform quality.
- Validate corrective actions prior to release.
Collaboration - Partner with the Healthcare Interoperability Engineer to ensure validation activities align with healthcare business rules and implementation guidance.
- Work with the Senior Synthetic Data Engineer to certify synthetic datasets supporting engineering and integration activities.
- Collaborate with the Automation Intelligence Engineer to validate AI-assisted engineering outputs prior to operational use.
- Support the Senior Automation Engineer by verifying the effectiveness and completeness of automated integration validation.
Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to strengthen validation methodologies, coverage, and engineering quality.
- Recommend enhancements to synthetic data, automation frameworks, and engineering workflows based on validation findings.
- Promote engineering excellence through independent assessment, objective feedback, and continuous quality improvement.
Required Skills: - Experience developing and executing end-to-end integration testing strategies for enterprise applications.
- Experience performing API validation, systems integration testing, and root cause analysis.
- Strong understanding of software quality engineering principles and validation methodologies.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
Desired Qualifications: - Experience supporting healthcare payer, provider, or federal healthcare programs.
- Familiarity with ANSI X12 healthcare transaction standards, including 837, 835, 270/271, and related transactions.
- Experience validating enterprise automation frameworks or synthetic data solutions.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated integration validation.
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar engineering platforms.
