Role: MEP / Structural Engineer (PE or EIT)

Location: Houston, TX

Job Description:

We are seeking candidates ranging from Engineer-in-Training (EIT) level through Professional Engineer (PE) level who possess strong design, analysis, and project execution capabilities using industry-standard engineering tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation for MEP or structural projects.
Create and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
Perform engineering analysis, modeling, and design reviews.
Prepare plans, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
Coordinate with architects, project managers, contractors, and government stakeholders.
Conduct site assessments and field investigations as required.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
Support proposal development, cost estimates, and project planning activities.
Participate in design meetings and technical reviews.

Required Qualifications:

For EIT Candidates

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
1-5 years of engineering design experience.
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Strong technical writing and communication skills.

For PE Candidates

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
5+ years of engineering design and project experience.
Experience leading engineering efforts and mentoring junior engineers.
Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering analysis software.
Ability to review, stamp, and approve engineering designs (where applicable).

Desired Qualifications:

Experience supporting federal, state, municipal, transportation, aviation, logistics, or military projects.
Active Secret, Top Secret, or Public Trust clearance.
Experience with BIM modeling and multidisciplinary coordination.
Knowledge of ICC, ASCE, NFPA, IBC, UFC, and other applicable codes and standards.
Project management experience.
PMP certification is a plus.

$50-$150 per hour, depending on:

PE vs. EIT certification
Security clearance level
Federal project experience
Technical specialization
Years of experience

Work Authorization:

U.S. Citizens strongly preferred.
Candidates eligible for federal projects and security clearances are highly desired.

Clearance:

Security Clearance preferred but not required.
