In this permanent, full-time role based in the United States, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with one of our key Health Information Exchange (HIE) customers, designing, optimizing, and explaining high-impact analytics and reporting solutions.

As a trusted technical partner, you'll collaborate with the customer to build and optimize reports, guide them through our analytics schema, tune performance in AWS Redshift, and investigate complex healthcare data questions.

Requirements:

Partner directly with an HIE customer to design, build, and optimize analytics and reporting solutions using the NXT Insight platform.
Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and data models against healthcare datasets stored in AWS Redshift.
Optimize report performance and query efficiency, including Redshift-specific tuning and best practices
Refactor existing reports and port them to the NXT Insight analytics schema.
Explain and document the NXT Insight analytics schema, helping customers understand how to effectively query FHIR-based data.

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or advanced healthcare analytics roles.
Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing and optimizing complex analytical queries.
Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift (or similar cloud data warehouses) and performance optimization.
Experience working with healthcare data, including clinical, claims, administrative, or population health datasets.
Familiarity with FHIR concepts, resources, and data models (hands-on FHIR experience strongly preferred).
Experience building and optimizing reports, dashboards, or analytical datasets for end users.
Ability to explain technical concepts and data models clearly to non-engineering stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort in investigating ambiguous or complex data issues.
Experience supporting or working with Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) preferred.
Prior experience with analytics platforms or data products built on FHIR.
Experience working in customer-facing or consulting-style technical roles.
Familiarity with healthcare reporting standards and common metrics (quality, utilization, population health, etc.).
Experience documenting data models, schemas, and analytics best practices.
