Seeking a Production Filterman to assist the machine operator in combining dry and/or liquid chemicals into resin products and packaging resins.
The Production Filterman assists the machine operator in combining dry and/or liquid chemicals into resin products and packaging finished resins into appropriate containers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist the machine operator in the production process of resins.
2. Assist the operator by obtaining the correct ingredients for mixing
3. Weigh out ingredients per specifications for the production batch.
4. Assist the operator by emptying ingredients into the production vessel.
5. Takes samples of the batch to the laboratory for testing.
6. Provide stencil product information on the selected container for product storage and shipment
7. Filter finished resin into containers using an appropriate filter press.
8. Blend or mix ingredients into the produced resins to complete finished resin batches.
9. Clean and maintain the filter press after use
10. Refer issues/problems to management.
11. Follow/comply with all safety work rules, housekeeping, and regulations
12. Provides training on procedures to new employees as needed
13. Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. Requires HS Diploma or GED along with at least 2 years of industrial experience.
2. Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating / maintenance instructions, manuals, etc.
3. Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
4. Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
5. Must be able to function both independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Fork truck certified
2. Working knowledge of hazmat requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Must be able to climb 2 flights of stairs at a time. Job functions are outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to work for a 12-hour shift, 4 days a week.
