As a Contract Specialist at our Washington, D.C. office, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of USAID and U.S. Government grant projects, ensuring procedural, financial, and operational requirements are properly executed.
 
This is a permanent, hybrid role with a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $105,000.
 
Highlights of this role:

• Collaborate with Agreement Officers, legal counsel, and grant recipients to ensure timely and compliant grant closeout actions.
• Leverage your strong analytical and financial review skills to process actions within USAID's grants and financial management systems.
• Contribute to the stewardship of public funds by monitoring the status of de-obligation of Federal awards.

Requirements:

• Perform financial administration functions, including expenditure review and reimbursement processing.
• Coordinate with Agreement Officers to address any issues that may impact the timely completion of grant closeout work.
• Draft and disseminate closeout letters to grant recipients, as applicable.
• Review and process actions required for the proper closeout of Federal awards.
• Review financial reports submitted by grant recipients, verify accuracy, and recommend follow-up actions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of U.S. Government grant management experience, with at least 1 year of experience terminating grants and negotiating final award budgets.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of federal grant regulations and USAID policies, as well as experience in processing actions in government grants and financial management systems.
• Active Public Trust Security Clearance required.
