Role: Collaboration Architect.
Location: Tampa, FL. / Tarpon Springs, FL.
 
Job Description:
The Collaboration Architect plans, organizes, and directs engineering resources to meet company objectives for design, new product development, and improvement of existing product lines by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
 
Essential Job Functions:

• Plans and formulates aspects of research and development proposals, such as the objective or purpose of the project, applications that can be used from findings, costs of the project, and equipment and human resource requirements.
• Oversees key projects, processes, performance reports, data, and analysis. Plans documentation system.
• Selects, develops, trains, and supervises staff.
• Develops, determines, and implements policies, procedures, and programs.
• Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvements for existing ones.
• Reviews and analyzes proposals submitted to determine if the benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures.
• Approves and submits proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation of funds, or allocates funds from the department budget.
• Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring projects, such as preparation of records of expenditures and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences to inform management of the current status of each project.
• Working with the manufacturing, operations, and quality manager, reviews and monitors quality and process improvements, and new product development.
• Directs the review of production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance the profitable operation of the division.
• Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain engineering requirements to develop new markets.
• Directs the preparation of accounting records for budgetary, production efficiency, or other such purposes.
• Performs the duties of a technical lead within the service delivery practice.
• Provides technical leadership and best practices for internal IT systems and services, including oversight of system management to ensure business continuity.
• Directs appropriate support for manufacturing and quality functions within the organization.
• An example for others to follow regarding code of conduct, following, and continual improvement of company policies and procedures.

• A Bachelor’s degree in an information technology or related field with 10 years of progressive, related experience, plus graduate-level courses; or a Master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree and 7 years of related experience in AV design and implementation. Additional experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

• Designing AV technology solutions for new practice offices, build-outs & refreshes.
• Overseeing projects and vendors.
• Collaborating with infrastructure, support, facility, and real estate colleagues to design and implement solutions.
• Reviewing new technologies and helping to identify new technology standards.
• Liaising with teams and vendors to support and maintain field technology.
• Tracking and maintaining AV technology to ensure equipment is up to date.
• Ensuring security and compliance of AV technology.
• Solving complex technology problems and innovating solutions.
• Advising shared service and functional colleagues on AV technology.
• Motivating others to collaborate and solve complex problems, and ensuring an environment of empowerment.

• Certified Technology Specialist ― Design (Must be current or obtained within 6 months of employment).
• Certification maintained with the following manufacturers:
• Crestron
• AMX
• BiAMP
• Shure
• Cisco Systems
• Polycom
• Middle Atlantic
• Other AV manufacturers as required.

• Knowledge of Architectural details that impact AV.
• Knowledge of Architectural drawing symbols AV best practices (stage height, size of screen vs. seating arrangements, viewing angles, viewing distances, height of screen, ceiling soffits, distribution of audio, etc.)
• Knowledge of:
• AV design best practices.
• AV equipment capabilities.
• Construction materials.
• Construction practices.
• Current display technologies.
• Comp TIA Security+
• ITIL v3.0 Foundations certificate.
• Prior experience working within the Department of Defense will be considered a significant plus.

• Active Top Secret required to be considered.
• US Citizenship required.

• Ability to travel throughout CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Technical Capacity.
• Ability to clearly communicate issues and challenges.
• In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft operating system and business tools.
• Maintain and Top Secret Clearance.
