Location: Fort Meade, MD (100% Onsite). Clearance: Active TS/SCI required.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Junior Windows Administrator with an interest in containerization and AI technologies to support a critical mission in Fort Meade, MD.
No extensive network engineering experience is required. We are looking for motivated individuals with a strong Windows background who are eager to learn and grow. Training opportunities will be provided to help develop your expertise in networking, security, and advanced IT concepts.
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing and maintaining Windows-based systems in a secure environment.
Support the deployment and operation of containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
Learn and apply concepts in AI and machine learning environments.
Collaborate with senior engineers on troubleshooting and system optimization.
Follow security best practices and assist in compliance initiatives.
Participate in training and mentorship programs to expand technical skills.
Qualifications:
Basic Windows Administration experience (Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.).
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) or a strong willingness to learn.
Exposure to AI, machine learning, or cloud computing is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to develop new technical expertise.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance (if not already active).
Preferred (but NOT required):
Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, etc.).
Exposure to scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks (DISA STIGs, RMF).
