Role: E2: Global Infrastructure Architect.

Job Description:
Imagine being the driving force behind the evolution of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) – a critical national security initiative.

As the Global Infrastructure Architect, you'll be the visionary who investigates and adapts emerging technologies to design production environments and lab modifications, ensuring seamless operations, testing, and development across a geographically dispersed team.

This role is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the security of our nation.

Responsibilities:
• Spearhead the integration of cutting-edge network technologies and design patterns to enhance the BMDS Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications systems.
• Champion design patterns, trades, and implementation strategies across the program, aligning solutions with other aspects of the initiative.
• Provide designs for assured, efficient BMDS communications, facilitating reconfigurability, network management/monitoring, and information assurance.

Requirements:

• Expertise in network engineering, including logical link layering, Ethernet, WAN, switches, routers (including software routers), and firewalls.
• Proficiency in virtualization methodologies and tools, and the management and design of local private cloud instances, including tenant hosting.
• Experience integrating COTS elements into a large enterprise, with an understanding of cyber patching strategies and risk-based product selection.
• Knowledge of network encryption devices, methodologies, and cyber system accreditation packages.
• Familiarity with cross-domain transfer solutions, implementation patterns, and the design of multi-security level enterprise systems.

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience (12+ years) in a relevant technical discipline, with a proven track record of contributing to the development of new principles and concepts.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work on unusually complex problems with consultative direction.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers.
