Role: E3: Systems Safety Engineer II.
Location: Colorado Springs, CO. (With travel to Huntsville, AL).

Job Description:
Embark on an exciting journey as a Systems Safety Engineer II with our dynamic team. This critical role will see you playing a pivotal part in shaping the future of our Battle Management, Command & Control, and Communications efforts.

Based in Colorado Springs, with regular travel to Huntsville, Alabama, you'll be responsible for driving the development of comprehensive safety plans, providing expert guidance to our engineering team, and ensuring the seamless integration of our cutting-edge systems.

Requirements:

• Proven expertise in system engineering, with a specialization in System and Software Safety.
• Ability to be an integral part of a dynamic team tasked with defining the physical, functional, and technical architecture of an evolving BMDS system.
• Experience in generating responsible sections of capability specifications, training less experienced personnel, and acting as a technical interface with MDA counterparts.
• Proficiency in conducting safety analyses, including Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA), and updating existing Safety Analysis Reports (SARs).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present technical approaches and findings to diverse stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
• Minimum active SECRET clearance, with a preference for TS/SCI clearance.
• Extensive experience in system engineering and software systems engineering, with a focus on developing and integrating new and existing systems.
