Role: E4: Software Engineer.

As an E4: Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving the development of our mission-critical Java-based applications, working closely with our Regional Applications teams in Huntsville.

With minimal direction, you'll leverage your specialized expertise across multiple software disciplines, contributing to the design, development, testing, and integration of our systems.

Responsibilities:
• Develop innovative software solutions that power our command and control systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the security and performance of our applications.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering their growth.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in software integration and formal testing, with a strong understanding of Cyber Security and RMF requirements.
• Proven ability to present advanced technical concepts to non-software stakeholders, including senior leaders.
• Expertise in performance modeling, microservices, and DevSecOps practices.
• Proficient in designing and building intuitive Graphical User Interfaces.
• Flexible and adaptable to take on unanticipated tasks in a highly dynamic environment.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant software engineering and development experience, with a focus on Java/J2EE.
• Minimum Active SECRET Clearance required.
