Job description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Proposal Writer to join our team.
 
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing technical proposals for federal government agencies, with a keen ability to craft clear, compelling, and compliant proposals that meet the needs of government RFPs (Request for Proposals).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of technical proposals for federal government contracts, ensuring all responses are thorough, accurate, and compliant with RFP requirements.
• Collaborate with technical subject matter experts, project managers, and other team members to understand the technical aspects of the project and translate them into clear, persuasive proposal narratives.
• Organize and structure proposal content, ensuring a logical flow of information that aligns with the federal agency's objectives.
• Review RFPs and other solicitation documents to identify key requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission guidelines.
• Develop proposal sections that clearly articulate the technical approach, methodologies, and solutions to meet the needs of the government client.
• Edit and proofread proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to established guidelines.
• Assist in preparing and submitting responses to government RFQs (Request for Quotes), RFPs, and other solicitation types.
• Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant government procurement guidelines.
• Track and manage proposal schedules to ensure timely submission and delivery.
• Stay current with federal contracting trends, regulations, and proposal best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience writing technical proposals for federal government agencies, including experience with complex, large-scale proposals.
• Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, FAR, DFARS, and other federal acquisition guidelines.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and present them in a clear, accessible format.
• Proven track record of developing winning proposals that meet or exceed the evaluation criteria outlined in federal solicitations.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple proposals simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Familiarity with proposal management software and document collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat).
• Experience generating pricing for IT support services.

• Experience in specific federal government sectors (e.g., Defense, Health & Human Services, IT, etc.).
• Certification in proposal management (e.g., APMP Certification) or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with federal government budget and pricing proposal development.
