An amazing opportunity awaits for a Systems Engineer to join the team supporting NASA Marshall Space Center’s Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC).

As part of the HOSC team, you will play a crucial role in the control center for multiple NASA programs and projects, including the on-orbit ISS experiments and tests, as well as ground-generated data related to NASA’s Artemis programs.

The HOSC’s systems, comprised of several hundred servers using virtual machine and containerization technologies, will be the canvas for your expertise. In this dynamic environment, you will work closely with the NASA customer, users, commercial and international partners, and a multi-disciplinary team to capture requirements, negotiate change requests, and drive those through the systems engineering lifecycle.

Your proactive approach and keen problem-solving skills will be vital as you collaborate with various technical organizations and stakeholders, ensuring the successful implementation of complex system changes. Responsibilities:

• The chance to work as a Systems Engineer supporting the NASA Marshall Space Center’s Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC).
• An opportunity to play a key role in capturing and driving change requests through the systems engineering lifecycle, with a focus on remote control of on-orbit ISS experiments and ground-generated data related to NASA’s Artemis programs.
• Be part of a dynamic team environment, collaborating with the NASA customer, users, commercial and international partners, and a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate changes across all parts of complex systems.

• Experience across various areas of the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, and documentation.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow or a similar ITIL workflow toolset, agile development practices, and experience with SANs, Kubernetes containers, VPNs, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with EXSI servers with VM instances, LANs, wireless networks, firewalls, Linux and Windows OS’s, and Intel-based systems.

• BS or 10 years of experience closely related to Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or Software development.
• Demonstrable skills in Information Technology and a strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, are required for customer interactions.
