Role: Senior Network Security Engineer.
Location: 100% Remote / Washington D.C. Area.

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team remotely in the Washington D.C. area.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network security, including proficiency in firewalls, SIM (Security Information and Event Management), routing, and related technologies.

This role requires a motivated individual who is eager to learn, adaptable, and committed to delivering top-tier security solutions. Preference will be given to candidates with federal government experience and a background in the military.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage network security solutions to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular assessments and audits of network infrastructure to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Monitor security events and incidents, analyze logs, and respond to security alerts in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security requirements and integrate security best practices into network architecture.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, with expertise in firewalls, SIM, routing, and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and best practices.
• Prior military experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.
• US Citizenship is required.
