Responsibilities:
Be part of a dedicated team committed to the seamless functioning of networked medical equipment.
Contribute to the advancement of patient care by ensuring the reliability and safety of medical devices.
Utilize your technical expertise to support the maintenance and security of medical information systems.
Requirements:
Associate degree in an applied science or equivalent military training.
Minimum of three years of hospital or healthcare experience in medical equipment maintenance, with at least one year specialized in medical information systems and networking.
Current and advanced knowledge of computer virus protection software, networking, and information security tools.
Experience with TCP/IP, HL7, DICOM standards, and network security; ability to maintain, interface, and troubleshoot networked medical equipment.
Familiarity with network test equipment and tools and the ability to interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within a medical center or Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
Understanding of VISN, VA Medical Center, and Biomedical Engineering Department operations.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship.
Ability to obtain and maintain Federal Public Trust clearance.
