Responsibilities:

• Be part of a dedicated team committed to the seamless functioning of networked medical equipment.
• Contribute to the advancement of patient care by ensuring the reliability and safety of medical devices.
• Utilize your technical expertise to support the maintenance and security of medical information systems.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in an applied science or equivalent military training.
• Minimum of three years of hospital or healthcare experience in medical equipment maintenance, with at least one year specialized in medical information systems and networking.
• Current and advanced knowledge of computer virus protection software, networking, and information security tools.
• Experience with TCP/IP, HL7, DICOM standards, and network security; ability to maintain, interface, and troubleshoot networked medical equipment.
• Familiarity with network test equipment and tools and the ability to interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within a medical center or Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
• Understanding of VISN, VA Medical Center, and Biomedical Engineering Department operations.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Federal Public Trust clearance.
