Job Description:
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of service craft, boats, ships, and submarines? We are seeking a talented Weld Program Manager/NDT Level III Examiner to join our team in Portsmouth, VA.

In this role, you will be the driving force behind the preparation of Welding, Brazing, and NDT procedures for NAVSEA, AWS, ASME, and ABS programs, ensuring compliance and the highest standards. You will have the opportunity to oversee and approve quality standards for structural and pipe material, as well as equipment receiving, in-process, and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.

Your expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Welding, Brazing, and Non-Destructive Testing will be invaluable in inspecting and monitoring work performed on government and commercial projects, specializing in weld and coatings inspections. As a liaison with customers, vendors, and various company departments, you will play a vital role in providing top-tier support for Welding/Brazing/NDT Programs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and oversee the Welder, Brazer, and NDT training, qualification, and maintenance program.
• Responsible for management of the Welding/Brazing/NDT Programs through subordinate supervisors/managers.
• Act as a primary liaison with customers, vendors, and various company departments for Welding/Brazing/NDT Program support.

• Weld/Structural Engineer Degree or equivalent (preferred).
• 10 years of Management of Weld, Brazing, and NDT Programs.
• 5 years waterfront Weld/Braze/NDT Program Management for NAVSEA contracts.
• 5 years waterfront Weld/Braze/NDT Program Management for Commercial contracts.
• 5 years SUBSAFE/DSS-SOC experience (preferred).

• NDT Level III Examiner Certification for VT, PT, MT, and UT processes.
• NBPI or NACE Level I or higher inspector certification.
• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, handling, feeling with hands, reaching with arms.
