This hands-on role offers variety across tooling maintenance, machining, repairs and production support, helping keep extrusion operations running efficiently and producing quality products.
What you'll be doing

• Maintaining, repairing and modifying extrusion tooling, dies, mandrels and calibrators
• Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tooling issues
• Machining and modifying components using lathes, milling machines, drills and grinders
• Preparing tooling for production changeovers and different pipe sizes
• Inspecting, assembling, dismantling and refurbishing tooling
• Working closely with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime
• Ensuring tooling meets required tolerances and product quality standards
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised toolroom

What we're looking for

• Toolroom, fitting, machining or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment
• Experience with extrusion tooling or PVC pipe manufacturing is highly regarded
• A proactive approach to safety, quality and preventative maintenance
