Kitchen & Food Services Assistant
Location: Hastings, VIC
We are seeking a reliable and organised Kitchen & Food Services Assistant to join our team in Hastings. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a kitchen environment, takes pride in cleanliness and organisation, and is comfortable working independently as well as supporting a wider team.
  
About the Role
You will provide day-to-day kitchen and food service support, helping ensure meals are delivered efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food handling and organisation.
Proposed Hours

• Monday - Thursday - 7am to 3pm
• Friday 7am - 12pm Finnish

Pay Rate
$33.46 per hour + super

Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Dishwashing
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area
• Keeping food handling and kitchen areas clean, organised and appropriately stocked
• Moving frozen meals into refrigeration in preparation for lunch and dinner service
• Stocking refrigerators and dry goods
• Obtaining daily meal selections from families
• Ordering food and supplies for the following week
• Receiving and checking deliveries from suppliers
• General food handling and kitchen support duties as required
• Assisting with the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen and food service areas

  
  
Required Qualification
Applicants must hold a current Food Handling Certificate.
Previous experience in a kitchen, food service, hospitality, aged care, healthcare or similar environment will be highly regarded.
