Forklift Driver / Labourer | Afternoon Shift | $43.82/hr

Are you an experienced Forklift Driver who isn't afraid of hands-on work? We're looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver / Labourer to join a busy recycling and waste processing operation. This role offers excellent hourly rates, consistent afternoon shifts, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

About the Role
Working within a recycling and resource recovery facility, you will be responsible for a combination of forklift operations and manual labour tasks to support the efficient movement and processing of recyclable materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a forklift safely within an industrial environment
• Moving cages, bins, and recyclable materials throughout the facility
• Performing manual labour, including handling and repositioning collection bins beneath sorting areas
• Sorting recyclable materials before processing
• Monitoring machinery and identifying when sufficient product is ready to form a bale
• Following all site safety procedures and operational requirements

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current and valid Forklift Licence (LF)
• Previous experience operating forklifts in an industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or waste environment (preferred)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout your shift
• Excellent reliability and punctuality
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic

This is a waste and recycling facility and can be a challenging environment.

• Strong odours
• Exposure to rubbish and recyclable waste materials
• Wet and dirty conditions at times
