Private Equity Lawyer | 5+ PQE | London | Magic Circle Platform

An exceptional opportunity is available for a high-calibre Australian-qualified Private Equity Lawyer to join a leading international firm in London, working at the top end of the global private equity market.

This role is suited to a lawyer currently practising in a busy, high-performing private equity or M&A team, seeking exposure to larger, more complex transactions and the opportunity to build a long-term international career.

The Role

You will advise private equity sponsors, portfolio companies and institutional investors on a broad range of sophisticated transactions, including:

• Buyouts and exits
• Growth capital and minority investments
• Sponsor-led M&A
• Portfolio company acquisitions and disposals
• Cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions

You will work closely with market-leading partners and clients on headline European and global PE deals, in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 5+ years’ post-qualification experience
• Strong private equity experience gained at a top-tier or leading PE firm
• A background in a high-volume, high-quality PE / M&A practice
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and advisory skills
• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to manage complex deal work
• The drive and resilience to succeed in a Magic Circle environment
