About the role:
Maali Group is looking for a seasoned
Electrical Project Manager to drive the success of our upcoming projects. If you have a proven track record in managing electrical projects from inception to completion, this is your opportunity to step into a leadership role with a company that values expertise and innovation.
Our Ideal Candidate: - Strong technical expertise in Electrical, Instrumentation, HVAC, and Communications project execution.
- Assigns responsibilities, sets clear objectives, and monitors progress to ensure successful project delivery.
- Aligns decision-making with Maali Group’s objectives, including development, community, and supply chain diversity.
- Communicates effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Provides clear direction, performance management, coaching, and mentoring to support team growth.
- Fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement within teams.
- Leads projects from initiation to completion, reviewing systems and recommending improvements.
- Engages with contractors, clients, vendors, and stakeholders on a technical level, delivering reports, publications, and presentations professionally.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Manages project start-up, maintains programmes, ensures smooth handover, and leads monthly project meetings.
- Holds self and team accountable for efficiency, effectiveness, and high standards.
- Ensures project operations comply with company management systems and positively represent Maali Group.
- Manages variations, liaises with clients and contract administrators, and ensures contractual compliance.
- Analyses and interprets drawings, specifications, and contract scope to support project execution.
- Makes informed decisions considering project profitability and cost impact.
- Controls expenditure and project duration to meet targets and goals.
- Ensures efficient resource allocation to meet business objectives.
- Oversees accurate forecasting of project revenues and profit margins.
- Contributes to month-end forecasting and WIP reporting.
- Safety-focused, actively contributing to continual business development and process improvements.
- Supports Aboriginal business and employment initiatives in line with company KPIs.
Essential Requirements: - Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Project Manager in construction, mining or resources sector
- Drivers Licence C Class – Unrestricted
- White Card
- Full working rights in Australia
- Trade Certificate or Electrical Engineering Degree
- Project Management qualification
- Safety focused and able to contribute to continual business development and improvements.
Desired Requirements - Previous experience working with Aboriginal peoples and business.
- Leadership training
- P&L experience
