At Breight Group, we're a thriving and rapidly expanding business within the mining and resource sector, focusing on maintenance and shutdown works. We're now seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Officer to join our dynamic team in our office located in Rivervale, Perth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify supplier invoices, including three-way matching against Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions.
- Prepare and manage weekly supplier payment runs, ensuring payments are made within agreed terms.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform monthly Accounts Payable reconciliations and monitor aged supplier balances.
- Manage fuel cards and credit cards, including processing credit card statements.
- Process employee expense claims and reimbursements.
- Maintain accurate supplier and financial records within the accounting system.
- Assist with Purchase Requisitions, coding queries and procurement activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve the Procure to Pay process.
- Support the Controller and wider Finance team with ad-hoc projects as required.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Extensive experience in an Accounts Payable Officer role.
- Strong Procure to Pay experience, including three-way matching and Purchase Order processes.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and data entry skills.
- Basic bookkeeping/accounting knowledge.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach to working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- The ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High levels of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion.
- Experience with automation and AI is desirable.
- MYOB Acumatica experience is desirable.
- Mining services experience is desirable.
- Certificate IV in Accounting, Finance or Business is desirable.
