Breight Group need a Structural Engineer. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and analysing structural components for a variety of projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with Australian standards. We need someone with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovative design.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create and analyse structural designs for projects
• Perform complex calculations to ensure a structure's stability, strength, and durability
• Develop detailed drawings, and 3D models using CAD software
• Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and national standards and safety regulations
• Conduct on-site inspections of structures under construction to verify that work is being done according to design specifications
• Diagnose and resolve structural issues that may arise during construction or in existing buildings

About You:
We are looking for great people who enjoy their work, are interested in being part of a team and have a strong belief in safety first culture. To succeed in this role your will bring:

• Located in Perth, Western Australia
• Full Australian Working Rights
• Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering form a recognised tertiary institution under Engineers Australia
• Experience in scaffold and/or temporary works highly desirable
• Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings and structural documentation
• Experience working with structural analysis, finite element analysis and design software
• Advanced ability to interpret and apply Australian Standards and guidelines
• Previous experience in Structural Engineering in a similar field
• Strong mathematical and physics skills
• Knowledge of building codes within the mining and resources industries
• The ability to analyse complex problems and develop innovative, safe, and efficient solutions is at the core of the job
• Meticulous attention to detail is critical to ensure that designs are accurate and that all components of a structure are safe and functional
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with project teams and stakeholders
