We’re looking for an Accountant to join Breight Group. Reporting to the Financial Controller the successful candidate will work collaboratively within the wider Finance team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Development and refinement of budgeting process and accounting policies
• Monitoring internal control systems to ensure compliance with Australian Standards
• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns
• Preparation and presentation of financial statements for management, board, and regulatory bodies
• Assisting with month end reconciliations, reporting and balance sheets
• Supporting audits and providing assurance on financial data integrity
• Working closely with and providing support to finance team members
• Ensuring accuracy, transparency, and statutory compliance of financial reports

About You:
We are looking for great people who enjoy their work, are interested in being part of a team and have a strong belief in safety first culture. To succeed in this role your will bring:

• Bachelor of Commerce, Majoring in Accounting & Finance
• Previous experience in a similar role in the mining sector
• CA/ CPA part qualified or looking to enrol highly desirable
• Sound knowledge of ERP systems, MYOB Green Tree advantageous
• Previous experience in managing month end tasks that included balance sheet reconciliations, posting journals and investigation & navigation of the ERP system
• Located in Perth, Western Australia
• A team orientated approach and ability to adapt in a fast-paced working environment
• Proven computer skills and the ability to utilize programs such as Word, Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills
