Cambridge Community House has walked alongside the people of Cambridge and Waipā, offering a safe environment where everyone is welcomed. They support individuals, families and whānau through counselling, financial mentoring, family violence support and practical help with both major challenges and everyday needs. Guided by a dedicated volunteer Trust Board, they are committed to understanding, encouragement & education to promote community wellbeing.
About the roleIn this role, the
General Manager will implement our Trust Board's strategic vision and ensure operational excellence & community engagement, in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- reporting to the Trust Board and maintaining policies/compliance
- leading & developing staff and volunteers to impactful outcomes that benefit the community
- ensuring services meet funder requirements as well as completing all contract reporting
- managing budgets & developing annual financial plans
- securing funding, updating the Board on applications & mitigating risks
- promoting the House through networking and stakeholder engagement
- ensuring adherence to health & safety, employment & ethical standards.
What they're looking for - Full NZ working rights or permanent residency is essential
- Min. 5 years proven relevant leadership, fundraising and networking experience is essential
- Proven experience with leading multi-disciplinary teams in a social services/community-minded organisation
- Demonstrated commitment to Māori health equity under Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications is essential
