Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Technical Advisor specializing in Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to support a large, complex financial sector crown corporation. This role focuses on assessing, stabilizing, and enhancing enterprise CMDB capabilities in a regulated environment. The successful consultant will serve as a senior technical lead, bringing deep hands‑on experience with ServiceNow CMDB, data quality governance, integrations, and automation, while collaborating closely with platform leaders and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Perform assessments of existing ServiceNow CMDB implementations and define enhancement roadmaps
Identify and implement improvements to CMDB data quality, accuracy, and stability
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance CMDB interfaces and integrations
Create and manage ServiceNow epics and user stories
Develop and maintain technical project plans, milestones, and progress reporting
Document key technical decisions, issues, and enhancements throughout the delivery lifecycle
Provide senior‑level technical guidance and subject‑matter expertise to stakeholders
Support transition from development into operational environments
Identify opportunities to leverage ServiceNow automation and AI capabilities (where approved and licensed)
Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams in a regulated environment
Required Qualifications
University degree or college diploma in a related discipline
5+ years of recent experience as a technical lead for ServiceNow implementations
5+ years of hands‑on experience with ServiceNow CMDB
Strong experience with:
CMDB data model
Configuration Item (CI) lifecycle management
Relationship mapping
Discovery and Service Mapping
Integrations impacting the CMDB
Hands‑on experience with CMDB data quality governance, including KPIs, controls, reconciliation, and normalization
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder‑engagement skills
Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
Experience applying ServiceNow automation or AI features to improve CMDB quality and operational efficiency
Experience supporting environments with regulatory, privacy, and audit requirements
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams
Eligibility & Work Requirements
Must reside in Canada
Must be eligible to obtain Reliability security clearance
