Exact Contracting Services has an exciting opportunity for a spray Painter trade assistant based at our Plant Department Operations in Burton, South Australia.
The Role:
The role will provide the opportunity for a proactive trade assistant to work alongside and assist qualified trades people carrying out preparation, painting and finishing work on our fleet of road transport and heavy mobile plant equipment.
The role will provide the opportunity to develop skills in our painting department with on the job training whilst also providing the opportunity for exposure to other areas of our maintenance workshop.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working a Monday – Friday roster
- Completing 6.00am until 6.00pm shifts (12 hours);
- Carrying out preparation, painting and finishing work at a high level of attention to detail;
- General yard work, keeping the work area clean and tidy;
- Working as part of a team to ensure safe, continuous and environmentally responsible operations;
- Maintaining and promoting high standards in the areas of Health and Safety.
What will the successful candidate have? - Current C Class Drivers Licence (essential) MR licence (highly desirable);
- Current Forklift Licence (essential);
- Current working at heights high risk licence (EWP) (highly desirable);
- Previous work experience in spray painting / powder coat environment (highly desirable);
- Safe operating experience with workshop power tooling (highly desirable);
- Basic machine knowledge (highly desirable);
- Passion for the industry and trade and desire to work and learn on the job;
- Experience with manual intensive work and ability to work in a physically demanding role;
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions;
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team;
- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability.

Pre-Employment: All candidates will be required to pass a National Police Clearance (within 3 months), pre-employment medical, and a drug and alcohol screen.
As our Projects are often in remote and regional Australia, you will be required to work on sites which are often hot, dry, dusty and/or humid.
