Support workers | Kaiāwhina make a meaningful, positive impact on clients' quality of life every day in the clients' own homes
One-on-one Support Worker
We’re looking for a caring, reliable and active person to provide one-on-one support to a young person in their daily life. This role is about building a positive, trusted connection while supporting independence, confidence and wellbeing.
You’ll provide companionship and practical support across a range of everyday activities, including school routines, local outings, community participation, and general health and wellbeing support.
Every day will be a little different, so we’re looking for someone who is patient, flexible, responsive and genuinely enjoys supporting young people to thrive. Experience in disability, youth, health, education or community support would be helpful, but the right attitude, reliability and ability to build rapport are just as important. You’ll be supported with paid training, guidance and ongoing support to help you feel confident in the role.
