Support, Connection, and Purpose – All in a Day’s Work
From morning routines to meaningful moments: we’re building a dedicated, energetic team to support a client who values independence, community, and companionship.
This is a hands-on, active role where every day brings variety. You’ll help start the day with personal care routines, provide support at home, and enjoy outings in the local community that make life fulfilling.
You will provide safe, respectful, and person‑centred support in people’s homes, being mindful of what matters to them, including their culture, values, beliefs, routines, and boundaries.

A variety of shifts are available:
- Morning and afternoon shifts 0600 - 1900 all days of the week
- ALT Weekend work required
You will be: - Assisting with personal cares and daily routines (morning and evening)
- Mobility support, transfers, and safe use of hoists (as trained)
- Passive exercises and positioning to support comfort and wellbeing
- Meal preparation and nutritional support
- Community outings, companionship, and supporting social connection
Mōhou Ake | About You - A warm, patient, and genuinely caring approach
- Hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or have equivalent, relevant experience
- Experience/ happy to learn spinal cord injury and bowel management/manual bowel care
- Confident and safe with working with hoists
- Comfortable supporting more complex needs and following care plans
- Be willing to learn, reflect, and adapt your approach to what matters for each person
- Full driver’s licence
- confident driving a van
Paid Training! Our Kaiāwhina Skills Framework training takes place during your first two–four weeks of employment and includes everything you need to feel confident in your role.
We provide year-round training with regular refreshers and new modules to keep your skills up to date. You’ll be supported through structured induction, ongoing training, refreshers, and clear development pathways.
