As a Rapid Response Support Worker, you’ll step in where you’re needed most – providing essential care and support to people in their own homes. This is a varied and fast-paced role that will see you working across different situations and care needs. You’ll work relief shifts and receive extra earnings on weekends, all while supporting people in your community to live their best lives. If you’re reliable, compassionate, and confident in your skills, this is your opportunity to be part of something meaningful. 

This role requires you to work on the weekends and travel between Porirua and Waikanae to visit clients.  

Each Tangata will have high risk individual care requirements, and you will support them with all elements of daily living such as:  

• Palliative cares  
• Bowel cares  
• Dementia  
• Mental health  
• Medication  

Whakangungu | Training
We provide practical and online training during the first few weeks of employment. With the added bonus of year-round training with regular refreshers and new modules to keep skills up to date.  


Mōhou Ake | About You  

• Level 3 and level 4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate (recognised in NZ)  
• Spinal injury experience ideal 
• Stoma Management experience ideal 
• Experienced in the use of a full, standing and two-person hoist  
• Experience administering prescribed medication  
• Love working with people and helping them thrive  
• Intuitive and responsive to people’s needs  
• Own a smartphone  
• Have the right to work in New Zealand  
• Full/restricted driver’s license
