Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga | Skills and experience - Current practicing certificate (Registered or Enrolled Nurse).
- Experience in long-term conditions, aged care, or medical nursing is highly desirable.
- Strong community engagement and caseload management skills.
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise in a busy, client-focused environment.
- Full driver’s license and digital confidence with apps and computers.
Leadership: Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and lead teams effectively. Experience in mentoring or training other healthcare professionals is an advantage.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, whānau, and multidisciplinary teams.
Cultural Competence: A deep understanding and application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and cultural responsiveness, with a commitment to promoting equity in healthcare delivery.
Clinical Knowledge: A solid understanding of clinical guidelines, standards, and best practices within the community environment. Experience in district nursing, long-term conditions, or medical nursing is highly valued.
