He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga | About the role
This is a unique serious injury client situation, where you will be part of a dedicated team supporting a young man living in South Wairarapa. You will work in the home, at school, and in the community, supporting with care needs and daily living activities.
Shifts available:

• Morning/day shift: 7.00am – 4.00pm (includes supporting the client at school)
• Night shift: 8.30pm – 7.00am

This role requires a younger-minded approach, as the client would like someone closer in age who can better connect socially. You will also need to be comfortable working around dogs on a farm property.
A full driver’s licence is essential, as you will be required to drive the mobility van.
  

Whakangungu l Training
Paid training! Our Kaiāwhina Skills Framework training takes place during your first two – four weeks of employment and is a mixture of practical training, online self-directed learning, and working with a buddy trainer.
  

Mōhou Ake | About You

• Genuinely love working with people who need support and seeing them thrive
• Experience in a similar role and has a healthcare qualification
• Be intuitive and responsive to people's feelings and needs
• Be comfortable supporting a young person at school and in the community
• Hold a full driver’s licence and be confident driving a mobility van
• Own a smartphone
• Have the right to work in New Zealand
