We're looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join The Apollo Restaurant Group and take ownership of our accounts payable function across our growing portfolio of restaurants.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with our finance team, venue leaders and suppliers, helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
A little about us
We're the group behind The Apollo, Cho Cho San, Olympus Dining, Greca and Yoko Dining, Baptiste and Tenjo Rooftop with more exciting venues joining the family. We love great restaurants, but it's our people who make them special. We're a growing hospitality group that values collaboration, accountability and always finding better ways to do things.
As we continue to expand, we're looking for people who enjoy being part of a business that's moving forward and want to grow with us.
The Role
Reporting to our Head of Finance, you'll take ownership of accounts payable and corporate card management across the group, while supporting the wider finance team with reconciliations, reporting and month-end processes.
You'll be someone who enjoys keeping things organised, building relationships and making sure the details are right.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing the end-to-end accounts payable process across multiple restaurants
- Overseeing supplier accounts, invoice processing, payment runs and reconciliations
- Working closely with venue managers to ensure invoices are approved and processed on time
- Managing supplier relationships, queries and payment discrepancies
- Overseeing corporate card expenses, reconciliations and policy compliance
- Supporting month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial close
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes as our business continues to grow
About You We're looking for someone who's confident managing their own workload, enjoys working with different teams and knows how to keep things moving.
Ideally, you'll bring: - At least 3 years' experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Experience managing supplier relationships and payment processes
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders and following up on deadlines
- A good understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and compliance
- Experience with Lightyear or similar accounts payable software would be an advantage
- Hospitality, food and beverage or multi-site business experience would be great, but isn't essential
Why Join Us? We're at an exciting point in our growth, with new restaurants opening and plenty happening across the group.
You'll be joining a supportive finance team where your work has a real impact on the business. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your role, work alongside experienced leaders and help shape how our finance processes evolve as we grow.
Plus, you'll be part of a restaurant group that genuinely loves what it does, with opportunities to experience our venues along the way.
Sound Like You? We'd love to hear from you! Applicants must have full working rights in Australia.
