Baptiste is a new French bistro opening in Redfern this November, and we're hiring casual Chefs de Partie and Commis Chefs for the opening kitchen.
ENTRÉE: THE STORY OF BAPTISTE
It's the neighbourhood French restaurant you wish was on your street. Wander in off Wunderlich Lane for a glass at the bar or settle in for the night. Classic bistro cooking, a room that runs from morning to late, and the kind of care you'd expect from The Apollo Restaurant Group, the group behind The Apollo, Cho Cho San, Olympus, Greca and Yoko Dining.
PLAT PRINCIPAL: THE ROLES
Chef de Partie. You've run a section in a quality, high-volume kitchen and you can hold it together when service is flying. You've got solid classical technique, you keep your section organised and your standards sharp, and you're happy to teach the commis working alongside you.
Commis Chef. You've got some experience in a quality kitchen, or you've finished (or nearly finished) your apprenticeship. You're quick, tidy and keen to learn, and you want to build your technique on classic French cooking.
Both roles are casual with consistent weekly shifts, and plenty of hours if you want them.
