We’re looking for a Sous Chef who can support the Head Chef to lead service, lift standards, and develop a tight, happy brigade.

The role

You’ll be hands-on across prep and service - helping drive consistency, quality and pace. You’ll lead from the front, coach the team, and keep the fundamentals tight: mise en place, cleanliness, section readiness and smooth communication.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and service leadership
• Run sections during service and confidently lead the pass when required
• Train, coach and develop junior chefs and kitchen hands
• Maintain food quality, portioning and presentation standards
• Ensure HACCP/food safety compliance and high kitchen cleanliness standards
• Assist with ordering, stock control, waste reduction and daily prep planning
• Help deliver smooth openings/closings and strong checklist culture

About you

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef 
• Calm under pressure with excellent service leadership and communication
• Strong prep discipline and a standards-first mindset
• Team-focused -firm, fair, and invested in developing others
• Great organisation: rosters, ordering, stock, cleanliness and timing are second nature
