JOB SUMMARY
Our client is seeking a Driver (Code EC) based in Cape Town, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing job assignments efficiently and professionally while ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this vacancy, the successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies, but not limited to:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in transport, road freight, or supply chain industries
• Valid EC (Code 14) Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
• Good medical health and drug/alcohol-free status
• Availability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and be on standby for short-notice assignments
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and ability to adapt to change
• A team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintaining a clean and safe vehicle at all times
• Safely transporting goods to designated locations and fulfilling customer requests professionally
• Maintaining accurate logs, including fuel gauges, trip sheets, and daily reports
• Reporting vehicle maintenance issues and ensuring compliance with service schedules
• Maintaining regular communication with the dispatcher and operations team
• Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
