About the role
We are seeking a highly organised Committee Services Specialist to join Standards Australia.
Reporting to the Committee Services Manager, this role provides structured operational support across National Mirror Committees, international standards adoption activities and technical committee administration.
You will coordinate committee processes, manage documentation workflows and support the adoption of international standards to ensure activities are delivered within organisational procedures, service levels and governance frameworks.
This role plays an important part in maintaining consistency, accuracy and transparency across international standards engagement and committee operations.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will support committee coordination and international standards adoption processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and coordinating National Mirror Committee meetings and activities
- Preparing and distributing meeting documentation including agendas, drafts and minutes
- Supporting consensus discussions and facilitating committee participation
- Coordinating participation of National Mirror Committees in ISO and IEC activities
- Managing the administrative workflow for international standards adoption projects
- Coordinating documentation, approvals and internal handovers for adoption processes
- Maintaining accurate registers and records of international standards adoptions
- Monitoring committee portfolios and supporting membership management
- Maintaining records in line with organisational documentation and record management requirements
- Supporting stakeholder enquiries and ensuring clear communication of processes and timelines
About you
You are an organised and detail-oriented professional who enjoys coordinating structured processes and working with stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Experience in administrative, project coordination or committee support roles
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within defined processes and timelines
- Strong attention to detail and documentation management capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working within structured operational or governance environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and organisational systems
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent administrative experience
