About the role
We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Group Project Management Office (GPMO) at Standards Australia.
Reporting to the Program Lead, this role supports the delivery of initiatives across the organisation by providing structured coordination and execution support across projects. Working closely with Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and delivery teams, you will help ensure initiatives are well planned, tracked and governed.
This role plays an important part in maintaining delivery discipline, supporting project momentum and ensuring accurate reporting and governance across project initiatives
What you’ll do
- Support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in planning and coordinating cross-functional initiatives
- Coordinate day-to-day delivery activities including scheduling, milestone tracking and action management
- Maintain project documentation including plans, RAID logs, issue registers and reporting artefacts
- Track technical and business milestones and escalate risks or delivery issues where required
- Assist with project governance updates and portfolio reporting activities
- Independently manage smaller workstreams or lower-risk projects within established governance frameworks
- Support financial tracking, reporting accuracy and compliance with documentation standards
- Assist with change readiness activities including communications and training coordination
- Support testing coordination including user acceptance testing (UAT) scheduling and defect tracking
- Assist with transition-to-BAU activities ensuring implementation documentation is complete
About you
You are a highly organised and delivery-focused professional with experience supporting projects in structured environments.
You will bring:
- 1–3 years’ experience in a project coordination, project support or junior project management role
- Exposure to end-to-end project lifecycle activities, including planning, execution support and implementation
- Experience maintaining project governance artefacts such as plans, RAID logs and reporting documentation
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid delivery models
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with cross-functional teams
- Experience using project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project or similar
- PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile Foundation or equivalent certification preferred (or working towards
