About the role
We are seeking an experienced Talent & Development Manager to join Standards Australia.
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this role leads the organisation’s talent acquisition, capability development and organisational development initiatives. The role plays a key part in shaping workforce capability, attracting and retaining high-potential talent, and fostering a high-performance culture across the organisation.
Working closely with senior leaders, you will design and implement talent strategies, strengthen leadership capability and drive initiatives that enhance employee development, engagement and organisational performance.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of talent and organisational development initiatives that support organisational performance and workforce capability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Talent Acquisition function, including recruitment, onboarding and the graduate program
- Managing recruitment supplier partnerships to ensure effective service delivery and cost efficiency
- Driving improvements to recruitment processes and candidate experience
- Providing workforce insights to support workforce planning and succession strategies
- Embedding the organisation’s capability framework to align leadership and behavioural capabilities with strategic priorities
- Leading talent mapping and succession planning processes for critical roles
- Driving internal mobility initiatives to develop and retain high-potential talent
- Designing and delivering organisation-wide capability development initiatives
- Partnering with leaders to strengthen engagement, leadership capability and organisational performance
- Leading and developing a specialist team responsible for talent, capability and organisational development outcomes
- Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of talent and development initiatives using workforce insights and analytics
About you
You are an experienced talent and organisational development leader who is passionate about building capability, strengthening leadership and driving a high-performance culture.
You will bring: - Significant experience in talent acquisition, organisational development and capability development
- Demonstrated experience leading talent and culture initiatives that improve workforce capability and organisational performance
- Strong understanding of workforce planning, succession planning and talent management practices
- Experience designing and implementing organisational development or change initiatives
- Strong analytical capability, using workforce data and insights to inform talent strategies
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in HR, organisational development or related disciplines
