About the role
We are seeking an innovative Product Officer, AI Enablement to join Standards Australia.
Reporting to the E2E Review Implementation Partner, this role will lead the exploration, design and implementation of artificial intelligence capabilities to support the Standards Development Lifecycle.
You will identify and test opportunities for AI-enabled tools that improve drafting efficiency, stakeholder engagement, document management, workflow automation and insight generation. The role also ensures that all AI initiatives align with governance frameworks, privacy obligations and responsible AI practices.
This role forms part of the End-to-End Review implementation program and will contribute to embedding responsible AI within the future digital operating model of Standards Australia
What you’ll do
In this role, you will explore and implement AI-enabled capabilities to support standards development operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying priority opportunities for AI applications across the standards development lifecycle
- Designing and overseeing pilots, proofs of concept and controlled AI experiments
- Assessing feasibility, risks, ethical considerations and data quality for proposed AI use cases
- Translating validated AI opportunities into scalable digital product solutions
- Working closely with IT, digital teams and external vendors to integrate AI tools into existing platforms
- Developing product roadmaps aligned with the End-to-End transformation program
- Ensuring all AI initiatives comply with Standards Australia’s Artificial Intelligence Governance Policy
- Managing risk assessments and governance approvals for AI pilots and implementations
- Maintaining documentation and auditability of AI use cases, inputs and decision outcomes
- Supporting adoption of AI tools through training, change management and user engagement
About you
You are a curious and innovative digital product professional who enjoys exploring emerging technologies and translating them into practical organisational solutions.
You will bring: - Experience working in digital product management, innovation or transformation roles
- Exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning or advanced analytics applications
- Experience designing and running pilots, experiments or proof-of-concept programs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills
- Understanding of responsible AI, data governance and technology risk management principles
- Ability to translate business needs into digital product solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to operate effectively in a transformation and change environment
