Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Glasgow. As part of the geotechnical team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions, applying sound technical judgement and practical design skills to support successful project outcomes.
• Support the delivery of geotechnical design solutions for a variety of projects, working closely with senior engineers and project teams.
• Contribute to projects that help create safe, sustainable and resilient developments for communities across the UK.
Preferred Requirements:
• Assist in the development of ground and site models, preparing clear and well-structured technical reports.
• Apply geotechnical design principles, including soil-structure interaction, retaining wall design, and ground movement assessments.
• Support the supervision and management of earthworks, ensuring compliance with specifications and best practice.
• Undertake elements of temporary and permanent works design under appropriate technical guidance.
• Demonstrate good written communication skills, with experience in report writing and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• BSc in Geology, Engineering Geology, or BEng in Civil Engineering.
• Experience working within a UK-based civil or geotechnical engineering consultancy.
• Desirable: MSc in Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering, or progress toward Chartered Geologist or Chartered Engineer status.
