An opportunity has arisen to contribute to the future direction of an organisation that plays a critical role in Tasmania's economy, connectivity and visitor experience.

TT-Line Company Pty Limited (TT-Line) is a state-owned corporation and operator of the Spirit of Tasmania passenger vessels and freight service and is recognised as one of Tasmania’s most iconic travel experiences.

The Board of Directors operates independently, representing the interests of shareholders, providing expertise, high level strategy, risk and governance oversight. The Board is a skills-based Board with Directors appointed by the Minister, operating in a legislative and public policy environment.

It is a pivotal time for TT-Line, with the need to re-build and maintain public trust, while transforming the organisation with the introduction of two new vessels and a new terminal facility in Devonport.

The Board is focused on strengthening its composition to support this transition and is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced non-executive Directors with strong financial skills gained in a commercial environment and governance expertise, with legal knowledge highly regarded but not essential.

This opportunity will suit applicants who are innovative and strategic thinkers with strong stakeholder engagement skills. An understanding of Tasmania’s operating environment, and the ability to provide valuable insight and perspective as the organisation enters its next phase of transformation are also required.
