Opportunity to join the TASCORP Board and make a meaningful contribution to enabling Tasmania's growth, investment and long-term financial resilience
The Tasmanian Public Finance Corporation (TASCORP) is the central financing authority for the Tasmanian Government and was established to develop, implement and manage borrowing and investment programs that benefit the Tasmanian Government and its public sector entities. The organisation plays a critical role in supporting the State’s financial sustainability, infrastructure investment and broader economic objectives through prudent financial management and accessing domestic and international debt markets.
An opportunity is now available for an experienced Non-Executive Director to join the Board and make a meaningful contribution to enabling Tasmania’s growth, investment and long-term financial resilience.
As TASCORP supports Tasmania’s infrastructure and service delivery ambitions, it is navigating increasing funding requirements, evolving lending and risk profiles, and dynamic financial market conditions. The Board seeks a Director capable of providing sound reasoning, constructive challenge and oversight in this complex operating environment.
This role will provide strategic direction and oversight at the highest level and will chair the Audit Committee, leading assurance of financial reporting and internal controls.
The Director will also contribute to maintaining and strengthening TASCORP’s high‑performing, values‑driven culture, while supporting clear, effective and transparent engagement with key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience across accounting, finance or audit, with strong financial reporting and analytical capability and experience serving on Audit Committees. They will demonstrate substantial governance and risk management expertise, strategic judgement, integrity and the ability to contribute constructively in a collegiate board environment.
