Tasmanian Irrigation (TI) exists to secure Tasmania’s agricultural prosperity and growth by ensuring access to irrigation water where and when it is needed. TI is a State-Owned Company that proudly designs, develops, owns and operates irrigation schemes that create jobs, grow the wealth of regional communities and deliver highly reliable irrigation water sustainably, cost effectively and efficiently. TI plays a critical role in assisting the Tasmanian Government to achieve its target of increasing the farmgate value of the State’s agricultural sector to $10 billion a year by 2050.
TI is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance and corporate services functions. The role provides strategic leadership and oversight across financial management, commercial services, procurement, ICT, risk and compliance.
Working closely with the CEO, leadership team and key stakeholders, the Chief Financial Officer will ensure robust financial governance and corporate capability to support TI's long-term sustainability, performance and impact. Leadership of a diverse team and harnessing their passion, energy and talent to deliver outstanding results and services will also be a key priority.
The successful candidate will be a people-focussed finance leader with commercial knowledge and relevant qualifications. They will demonstrate a balance of strategic and practical experience in financial management and analysis, together with a customer focus, a continuous improvement approach, and a track record of delivering outcomes in complex, dynamic environments. Outstanding communication skills, an agile approach and excellent stakeholder management skills are also required.
