The Client
Our client is an established rural retail business with a strong presence in regional agriculture. It supports farming customers with essential products, practical advice and reliable service, and is looking for a hands-on leader to strengthen its local branch.
Brief Summary

Role
This is a broad leadership role for someone who knows rural retail and wants to make a visible difference to a local business. You will lead the team, take responsibility for branch performance and build strong relationships with farming customers across the Cohuna district. You may also support nearby store or fertiliser depot managers, sharing your experience and helping build management capability across the network.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the team, maintaining a safe, compliant and customer-ready site.
• Manage the branch profit and loss, budgets, forecasts and financial targets.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers, provide high-level sales support and drive local promotions.
• Oversee stock levels, merchandising, supplier deliveries, administration and daily store operations.
• Manage customer accounts with the credit team and support neighbouring managers when required.

Requirements

• At least five years’ experience managing a rural retail store or depot.
• A qualification in retail, merchandising, sales, marketing or frontline management, with an agribusiness background.
• Strong financial, sales, operational, inventory and merchandising skills.
• Proven people leadership, customer service, communication and problem-solving ability.

Remuneration & Location
Based in the Echuca area of Victoria. Remuneration will be discussed with the preferred candidate.
